Oakdene Homes, as a residential developer, has built a number of apartment blocks in the South East of England, the quality and standard of which the Company are extremely proud.  In order to maintain the high level of service throughout the Oakdene Group, the decision was made to manage the freeholds and hence the leasehold properties internally.  Our own staff are therefore able to inspect and maintain the properties at regular intervals.

The department is headed by Paul Dawson, who is well placed to manage this newly created division.  His background is in accountancy and finance.

Oakdene now has in place a computer based system to account for each leasehold and freehold property.  The system provides for a list of excellent maintenance and trades people to call upon to cope with problems as they arise.  Paul believes that a fast and efficient service to our clients is the key to the success of this newly formed company.

Currently the freehold portfolio includes 58 freeholds representing over 400 individual properties.  This number is likely to increase considerably over the next years, particularly in the case of Newhaven, our flagship site where it is expected that 650 apartments are constructed over the next five years.  There are also a large number of other flatted developments within the Oakdene land bank.

The Oakdene portfolio is set to expand over the ensuing years, however, the Company believe they are well placed to take in external constructed freeholds for management.
