At last there’s some good news for the UK property market! Amid all the doom and gloom hitting the headlines in recent months, the results of the Daily Mail UK Property Awards 2008 have just been revealed. What’s more, UK property professionals are achieving a great amount of success in their respective fields, just like athletes at the Beijing Olympics! These awards are linked to the world’s largest and most prestigious property competition and a number of this year’s UK winners will be chosen to represent the UK at the finals in the USA this November.

Oakdene Homes is delighted to announce that it has won an award in the category of Best Marina Development. The award will be presented at a glittering gala dinner to be held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 31st October.

Oakdene Homes is delighted to announce that its Swaylands development has been awarded the bronze award for Best Renovation for 2007 at the What House? Awards, in conjunction with smartnewhomes.com. The awards are extremely prestigious and are deemed as the Oscars of the property industry.

After lying vacant for 14 years Oakdene Homes have transformed Swaylands into an outstanding conversion of the historic society house on the outskirts of Penshurst, Kent. The scheme now comprises 28 luxurious two and three bedroom apartments, two new blocks and the conversion of outbuildings into six mews houses. It was Oakdene Home’s attention to detail on the restoration and conversion of the estate, which ensured award recognition for the development.
